I havent worked since the beginning of November. I have tried to "Ride it out" as long as possible, but its just not cutting it anymore. I have really tried my best to make ends meet and keep the door open for the job that is lacking the means of making a living at the moment. Going from working 2 jobs and making almost $4k a month, down to less than $1k/mth really makes you think about how you need to spend your money. I just didn't want to be one of those people that rely on an unearned check to come to them ever week.

This state is in the deepest financial canyon it has ever been in and it's not going to climb out of it any time soon. Having so many people on unemployment doesn't help. I sometimes wonder if we could just hear a few people casting the news say "We have hit the bottom and things are looking up!" I wonder if hearing those words can make a difference of people spending and hiring. All we ever hear is "It's just going to get worse." How can WE be optimistic and take risks with our money if they keep telling us that. Isn't that exactly what we need to do? Take risks and get money to flow through the economy again to make this better.

The worst part of it all is that ALL of the companies, and consumers, that made this all happen are the ones that get the most help! If I was honest on the paperwork when i bought my house, and only committed to what i could afford, but my neighbor lied on his paperwork and over committed himself, Why should he be the one that gets the "SPECIAL LOAN RECONSTRUCTIONS" but i can't? Why were they giving out 120% financing? How did they not know that was suicide? Why do all these companies get BILLIONS in bailout money that I am paying for, when they couldn't even run their business correctly in the first place? Unfortunately this country lets greed take over rational thinking.

The only thing that we (honest consumers) can do is hope for a turn around. It's not going to happen any time soon but at least we can be optimistic for the future.

What do we live for?

I woke up one morning wondering what life was about. A bad idea? Probable... but i did it anyway. What do we live for? Is it to just go to work, come home, and reproduce so others can do the same boring thing? Why do we play? Is it to give ourselves a few moments of happiness because we get so caught up in work? A never ending cycle i see.

What i have come to find out is that those happy times we give ourselves definatly make up for all the time we spend dreading doing other things that make us miserable. It might not be a whole week vacation that makes us happy, it can be just a short conversation with someone you haven't seen or talked to in a long time, or when you go rock climbing with friends and there cheering you on to make it to the top of a climb you've been struggling with, being the first one down an ungroomed deep powder slope, being pulled behind a boat for the first time of the summer. Whatever that may be, to live a happy life we must surround ourselves with thing that make us happy. It sounds very simple and easy to do and you may laugh about it but but all too often i find myself (and see others do the same) just living day to day. Make your life a happy life. LIVE FOR ULTIMATE HAPPINESS. Some find that happiness in work, some in play, some find it in other people's presence, or a combination of any or those.

I now realize its not what you do for a living, how much money you make, what kind of expensive things you have, its how much you really enjoy your life. I love my life and will continue to do what im doing as long as im happy. I have set goals for myself and some i have met and some i have not. I used to be mad for not achieving what i have set up for myself. Not so much anymore. I am grateful for what has been given to me and i will continue to embrace what has gone wrong and right, and i will set forth new goals for now my plans have changed. I an constantly surrounded buy amazing people and i'm completely content with what i have to look forward to.

So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are condition to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism. All of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality, nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within than a secure future. The very basic core of mans living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. Live simply, Love generously, and Speak kindly for there is too many things to see and do it is not worth the waisted time worrying.
